- 1 Making Appointments.
- 1.1 All appointment times and dates must be made online through this website. There are no facilities to make appointments via phone, SMS or email.
- 1.2 Appointment payments may be made by 'Credit Card', 'Debit Card', 'PayPal', 'Google Pay', 'Microsoft Pay' and 'Apple Pay'.
- 1.3 Appointments are confirmed upon completion of the booking process. At this time you will recieve a confirmation email.
- 1.4 If having attended your property to undertake work it is discovered a return visit will be required. (A frequent example is where a gas safety inspection identifes a gas hob or cooker with missing control dials. In this instance, gas safety requirements state that, as this appliance cannot be operated as the manufacturer intended, the appliance poses a potential risk and must be removed form the gas supply until such time as new dials are obtained from the manufacturer, or a new appliance is installed.) In these instances a new appointment will need to be made for the return visit.
- 1.5 When making a appointment, please keep in mind that if you intend on asking us to look at other faults whilst at your property, this is possibly all we will be abel to do, 'look' at them. This is due to firstly, we always have other sceduled appointments to keep and secondly we only carry the tools required for that days work in the van and may not have the tools with us that may be required for any unplanned work.
- 2 Missed And Cancelled Appointments (Clients).
- 2.1 Appointments may be cancelled at anytime using the cancellation link within the booking confirmation email.
- 2.2 Depending on when you notify us of your intent to cancel or postpone your appointment, will determine the amount of the booking price that will be refunded to you.
- 2.3 Apppointments cancelled with 48 hours (Or More) notice, will recieve a 100% refund.
- 2.4 Apppointments cancelled with between 48 hours and 24 hours notice, will recieve a refund of 50% of the appointment fee.
- 2.5 Apppointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are not eligable for a refund.
- 2.6 Where appointments are made and nobody is home at the time of the appontment, this is considered a cancelled appointment with less than 24 hours notice. In this instance no refund will be offered.
- 2.7 Landlords & Agents making appointments for a rental property may wish to make their tenants aware of the fact that missed appointments are chargable, particularly if you intend to pass on the additional costs of making a new appointment to your tenant should they not be home at the pre-arranged time?
- 3 Missed And Cancelled Appointments (Exclusive Trades).
- 3.1 Notification of appointments that are to be cancelled or postponed by (Exclusive Trades) are made via a phonecall. When a phone will not connect, a SMS message will be sent along with a email.
- 3.2 When appointments are cancelled by 'Exclusive Trades' with 48 hours (Or More) notice, your payment will be 100% refunded or scheduled for a future date.
- 3.3 When appointments are cancelled by 'Exclusive Trades' with between 48 hours and 24 hours notice, your payment will be 100% refunded and you will be able to make another appointment with a 50% discount applied. This is to compensate you for the inconvience of a missed appointment with short notice.
- 3.4 When appointments are cancelled by 'Exclusive Trades' with less than 24 hours notice, your payment will be 100% refunded and you will be able to make another appointment with a 100% discount. This is to compensate you for the inconvience of a missed appointment with no notice.
- 3.5 When new appointments are made folowing a cancellation by 'Exclusive Trades', this discount applies to our fee for the intial payment and not to the cost of any materials required to undertake the work.
- 4 Refunds.
- 4.1 All refunds will be made in the same way they were made. PayPal will be refunded to PayPal. Card Payments will be refunded to your card and so on.
- 5 Materials For Work.
- 5.1 'Exclusive Trades' will not purchase any materials until the payment for the materials has been received.
- 5.2 Where materials are required to complete the work, we insist purchasing any pipes and fittings.
- 5.3 We will never install plastic/push-fit style plumbing.
- 6 Gas Safety.
- 6.1 All work on a gas installation or appliance will be carried out in accordance with current Gas Safety Legislation.
- 6.2 If a gas appliance is found to be unsafe, we will fully comply with gas safety requirements to make the situation safe.
- 6.3 Where a gas cooker or hob is failing to operate safely due to a lack of cleanliness, the appliance will be disconnected from the gas supply until such time as it can be cleaned to enable it to be safely tested.
- 7 Refusal Of Work.
- 7.1 In certain circumstances we will refuse to work at a property. Typical examples would be where specialised, protective clothing would be required in order to comply with Health & Safety Requirements to work in that particular enviroment. Other instances would be where, to work in that enviroment, would invalidate our insurance policy by deliberately placing ourselves in a situation of risk. Typical reasons for refusing to work at a property in the past have been;
- 7.2 If, upon arrival at a property it is infested with rats, mice, fleas, etc.
- 7.3 If, upon arrival at a property it is in a unhygenic condition such as, rotting food on and around the working area, animal waste on the floor, medical waste incorrectly disposed of, anything that may pose a health risk to the engineer.
- 7.4 If, upon arrival at a property it is assessed the property is unsafe to work in due to trip hazzards.
- 7.5 If, upon arrival at a property it is not adequaltly ventilated due to Smoking\Vaping, or Smoking\Vaping is taking place whilst work is being undertaken.
- 8 Your Privacy.
- 8.1 In order for this business to function we require your Name, Address, Phone Number and Email Address for the following reasons;
- 8.1.1 Your 'Name' is required so we know who to contact for any matters relating to the appointment you make.
- 8.1.2 Your 'Address' is required so we can attend your property to undertake the work you require completed.
- 8.1.3 Your 'Phone Number' is required to enable you to be contacted directly if there are any issues relating to your appointment\Service.
- 8.1.4 Your 'Email Address' is required to provide you with your FREE email reminder 24 hours before your appointment\Service.
- 8.1.5 Your 'Email Address' is also required to process your payments (For the service you require, any refunds that may be payable and for the members of our referral program, we need this to make your monthly payments to your account)
- 8.2 If you are not happy with us holding this information whilst your appointment takes place, you will need to source another tradesman company for your needs.
- 8.3 Any information you supply to us will not be shared with anyone or used for any purpose outside of the services you have requested us to undertake on your behalf. It may be used to send you annual reminders when a Gas Safety Inspection or Boiler Service is due.
- 8.4 At any time you can have all the information we have on you deleted by simply completing the 'Data Deletion Form'.
(Exclusive Trades operate a No Smoking & No Vaping policy for all engineers. When working in a property where Smoking\Vaping is taking place, the engineers clothing will become contaminated with this odour which has the potential to create an unpleasant experience for our next client should they be Non-Smokers\Vapers. As Exclusive Trades specialise in providing a Prompt, Professional & Pleasant experience for all of our clients, walking in to a Non-Smokers\Vapers home carrying the odour of a Smoker\Vaper, will be far from a pleasant experience for this client)
