When creating this company, one of our goals was to find a way to solve our clients problems as efficiently as possible. Given the fact that nobody wakes up in the morning and gets excited because they have to phone a Plumber (Gas Safe Heating Engineer), it was decided that the appointment process should be automated.
By automating this process, making an appointment for a Gas Safe Registered Engineer to visit your property, really is a simple and stress free experience that can be completed anytime of the day or night in just a few minutes.
Isn't that what everyone wants, a quick and simple solution to their problem?
Whilst enabling our clients to make their appointment online is convienient for them, we knew we could offer more. Therefore, when you make your appointment with Exclusive Trades, it comes with a 100% money back guarantee that your engineer will arrive at your property on time.
In the unlikely event that we arrive late for your appointment, not only will we refund your initial payment, but we will also come back at a time of your choosing and complete up to one hour of work rectifying the fault for you, 'free of charge'. *
After all, if you have taken the time out of your day to be home at the time of your appointment and we don't turn up, it's only fair we compensate you for wasting your time, wouldn't you agree?
Currently no other company in Eastbourne offers this guaranteed appointment time.

In addition to the gas safe qualifications listed above, each engineer will also be;
This means that when your engineer arrives at your property you can rest assured they are qualified to provide you with the best service and advice possible.
I am going to make the assumption that you understand and accept the fact that employing a professional company is never going to be cheap.
One of the reasons for this is due to the high costs associated with the numerous training courses that are required to firstly become a professional, but also to remain up-to-date with all the changes to the regulations and any new technology in a specific area.
Consequently a cheaper company (Those that do not have these expenses and can therefore offer their services at a lower price,) are not going to be very professional due to a lack of training! . . . Does that make sense?
As a professional company, Exclusive Trades regularly invests in various training courses to ensure we can provide our clients with the best service possible, meaning we will never be the cheapest company in town and may well be one of the more expensive companies you contact!
Yes you read that right! I just admitted to you that this company will in all likelihood be one of the more expensive companies you contact! . . . Would you like to know why?
1: As you have just read, we make considerable investments in regular training courses to ensure we can provide you with the best service and advice possible.
2: Our price is precisely what it costs to do the work correctly, in full accordance with all regulations without cutting corners.
LET'S READ THAT LAST PARAGRAPH AGAIN! - Just to make sure you understand why Exclusive Trades will never be the cheapest company you approach!
'Our price is precisely what it costs to do the work CORRECTLY, in full accordance with all regulations WITHOUT cutting corners.'
In recent years the volume of requests for repair/upgrade work to a cheaper companies installation has risen significantly!
Sadly more and more companies are 'making the work fit the clients expected price' (Due to the fear of losing the work to another company), rather than pricing the work to do everything correctly and in full compliance with all regulations!
A typical example of this would be as follows:
Lets say you ask two companies to give you a price for a new boiler installation. (You have specifically asked for guaranteed fixed prices and not estimates. Estimates can rise, a fixed price is guaranteed not to rise.)
As these are hypothetical companies, I will refer to them as 'The Corner Cutting Company' and 'The Professional Installations Company'.
'The Professional Installations Company' offers to carry out the installation for £4,700.00.
'The Corner Cutting Company' offers to carry out the same installation for £2,000.00.
On first impression 'The Corner Cutting Company' appears to be the obvious choice, but lets have a closer look.
Both companies will start out by paying themselves first. Each company takes £1,000.00 for their installation costs out of the budget and places that to one side. (I hope you didn’t think the 'Corner Cutting Company' would be working for for less money?)
Having placed their £1,000.00 wage for this work to one side, the 'Corner Cutting Company' now has £1,000.00 to buy the materials needed for your installation. This isn't enough and where the company will need to live up to their name as they now need to cut corners to get the work done.
The degree of corner cutting will vary essentially on how little the installer cares (or knows). The less the installer cares (or knows), the cheaper they can offer their services because they won't be complying with as many (or even any) of the safety regulations or installation guidelines.
Moving on to the 'Professional Installations Company', they also start by allocating their £1,000.00 installation fee, however they now have £3,700.00 to buy all the materials that are needed to complete the installation, which is sufficient to buy everything they need to carry out a professional installation in accordance with Gas & Water Regulations as well as 'Legionnaires Disease Prevention Guidelines'.
Typically a client will be unaware of the Gas, Water or Legionnaires Disease Prevention guidelines themselves and consequently they are unaware that 'The Corner Cutting Company' installation doesn't just fail to comply with the manufacturers guidelines, meaning they will be unlikely to honour the boiler warranty when it breaks down in a few years, but that it also fails to comply with Water Regulations & Legionnaires Disease Prevention Guidelines and consequently may pose a danger to the health & wellbeing of those living in the property.
This principal of making the work fit the expected price is how a 'Handyman/General Builder' type of company would be able to install your new kitchen taps for at least £100.00 less than a qualified plumber.
Whilst it is a legal requirement for all gas work to be carried out by a Gas Safe Registered Installer, there is no such requirement for plumbing.
There is a governing body called 'Water Safe' that will only allow plumbers that have the formal water regulations qualification to become members.
Joining Water Safe is voluntary, meaning it's a good indicator of a professional company. (Think about it, why would someone spend hundreds of pounds on a training course, lose hundreds more in lost income taking time off work to complete this training when its purely voluntary? The answer is, they're a professional company that takes pride in their work!)
Having a reputation for NOT being the cheapest company in town, is a reputation we welcome if it means our clients can rest assured the health & wellbeing of their loved ones have not been placed at risk by omitting to fit the relevant safety valves just to save a few pounds. Wouldn't you agree?
Consequently we will never offer to beat (or match) another companies price.
We do however welcome any independent inspections of our work to verify, firstly that it is safe and also that it is fully compliant with all Gas & Water Regulations, as well as Legionnaires Disease Prevention Guidelines.

Discontinued Services:
In the past Exclusive Trades would offer services ranging from replacing a tap washer through to new boiler installations.
During lockdown the demand for work that required a qualified gas engineer remained constant, however demand for basic plumbing tasks such as replacing a tap washer or repairing a dripping shower dropped significantly, which in turn resulted in down time for the company.
Whilst it is hoped there won't be a return to lockdowns, obviously it's something that cannot be ruled out and consequently the decision has been taken to invest in additional training to be able to provide more of the specialised services that are essentially 'lockdown resistant'.
In the past a 'Drainage' service was offered, this has now been withdrawn from the services offered.
Basic Plumbing was also to be withdrawn, however having discussed this with a number of clients, it has been decided it will remain. This service will not be promoted in search engine results in an attempt to limit demand, but it will continue to be available here.
Emergency Appointments were also to be removed, however as with plumbing this service has remained, albeit at a significantly higher rate to reflect the fact that it is for emergency use only and the potential costs to the company in fulfilling this service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
